Breathing dust all summer at our home behind a stableful of mules in Yosemite Valley, we can see Half Dome from our yard.  'We' consists of me, my husband Ted, Fleabag the dog and Whitezilla the cat.  Our small cabin is situated between the Merced River and Tenaya Creek next to the North Pines Campground.  Every summer night is filled with cries of "Elmer!" and every summer day is a struggle with traffic.  But in the winter I can sometimes ski out my front door and there isn't any traffic for miles.  Ted landed in Yosemite from Los Angeles ten years ago, I came to this park from Yellowstone National Park in 2004 to become a wife.  In Spring 2010 I returned to Yosemite from a two year stint at Zion National Park in Utah and realize acutely how weird and wonderful it is to live in National Parks.  I'm recording Yosemite's wonderful weirdness at California Junket, as well as the rest of my travels with some cooking skillz picked up along the way.
